Advent Group
Thu 26 Nov
|The Old Rectory
This year we are again offering the opportunity to come together to share the journey of Advent with others and explore the rich themes of the season.
Time & Location
26 Nov 2026, 19:00 – 21:00
The Old Rectory, Bath Road, Blagdon, Bristol, BS40 7RW
About the event
Jane Williams's book, The Art of Advent, uses 37 paintings as a stimulus to reflect deeply on what we believe, why we believe it, and how those beliefs affect our lives. Themes include light and darkness, the Four Last Things, the events of Advent and the birth of Jesus.
Weekly gatherings will focus on sharing our thoughts, reactions and discoveries, as well as exploring together the questions and issues that arise.
Everyone is very welcome to join in, whether you have done this kind of thing before or not. Please do contact us for further details and to let us know if you would like to attend (admin@chewvalleysouth.org).
